The Witcher 3 remaster offers many other improvements
It’s quite clear that the announcement of The Wither 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered was one of the most pleasant surprises of the Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live.
This upgrade features plenty of improvements and optimizations to the game’s visuals (and the expansions), but that’s not all. There’s a long list of enhancements too.
These include, notably, an enhanced combat system, new finishers, reworked monster behavior, smoother traversal and climbing animations, and even a revamped skill tree.
The photo mode will also be more comprehensive, featuring new navigation menus and quest trackers. From a more technical standpoint, there are improvements to HDR, path tracing, support for DLSS 4.5, FSR 4, and XeSS 2.0, as well as a version for PS5 Pro.
As a reminder, this remastered edition will be available on PC, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S this September 29, 2026.
