Saber Interactive says it can secure any IP

Confidence is at an all-time high at Saber Interactive. The studio is preparing several major releases, including Jurassic Park: Survival, Stuntman: Hollywood, Turok: Origins, and the upcoming John Wick game. This extremely robust lineup has the American company feeling very confident about its future.

During a recent interview, Tim Willits, creative director at Saber Interactive, stated that his teams can now “secure any license”. The company released four games as a publisher or developer in 2025, making it highly productive compared to many of its competitors. And some of its recent titles have been commercial successes.

This was the case, for example, with SnowRunner, which started out as just a small idea before bringing in hundreds of millions for Saber.

"That was one guy’s idea, made by a couple of guys. It cost us around six million bucks. It’s gone on to make hundreds of millions. World War Z is another good example. It was made by a relatively small team and 32 million people played that game, and every DLC keeps blowing up and doing well!"

Willits also highlighted upcoming games, citing John Wick as an almost inevitable hit.

"We know we’re going to have hits. You know that’s going to be awesome right?. Or Stuntman, a smaller game. We acquired the IP from Embracer when we were there, we worked with Universal to bring over franchises people know, to bring more attention to the game. It’s a smaller game than Space Marine 2, but it’s helpful that we have other businesses that are more predictable and manageable, that help fund our big swings like Space Marine 3."

Tim Willits certainly knows what he’s talking about, thanks to his 23 years at id Software working on franchises such as DOOM and Quake.
