PC gamers who are planning to download the NVIDIA Game Ready 616.56 driver onto their machines should be cautious. Reports indicate that it causes malfunctions on certain monitors. Fortunately, there is a way to fix this problem.

Users have reported that after installing this driver, screen flickering began to occur. It appears that the issue primarily affects 8-bit PC monitors. To fix this, you need to switch to 10-bit mode.

To do this, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, then to Display, and click Change Resolution. In Section 3, Apply the following settings, check the box for Use NVIDIA color settings and then select the 10-bit option under Output Color Depth.

Finally, on displays that are not 10-bit compatible, you must open Device Manager, select the PC’s graphics card, and roll back to the previous driver. This is a temporary solution until NVIDIA releases a proper fix.
