Are we back in the early 2010s? Back then, video game companies tried to court gamers by promising them access to TV on their consoles… Everyone remembers the famous "TV, TV, TV…" chant during the Xbox One presentation.

This time, it’s Sony making the move by announcing the arrival of live TV on the PS5. Users can access it for free through an ad-supported service. An icon has been added to the Media tab on the main menu.

Users can enjoy movies, TV shows, anime, and even sports and weather programs. FOX Sports, NBC News, Crunchyroll, and NBC Sports Now are all part of the lineup.

Finally, it’s important to note that this live TV service via the PS5 is currently only available in the U.S.
