Following the lead actor's injury, the God of War TV series is looking for a new Kratos
The TV series adaptation of the God of War franchise has just suffered quite a big setback. A new actor will need to be found to play the role of Kratos.
Deadline reports that Ryan Hurst suffered a torn bicep during a stunt while filming the Amazon-produced series. The incident occurred in late June and will force producers to replace Hurst, who had to undergo surgery, as soon as possible.
Four full episodes and a few additional scenes had already been filmed. The entire series will be reshot from scratch. Preparations are expected to begin in late August, with production set to start in mid-October. Filming could resume in early 2027. Suffice it to say, the series will be delayed.
