EA CEO gets a $38 million bonus despite recent layoffs
Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, has received a $38 million bonus (comprised of stock and cash payments), representing a 26% increase over last year. This is largely due to the success of Battlefield 6.
Other executives also received substantial bonuses, including President Laura Miele, CFO Stuart Canfield, and Chief Human Resources Officer Mala Singh, who received $13.7 million, $11.3 million, and $8.4 million, respectively.
Unfortunately, this news comes amid a difficult situation in which the company recently carried out a third round of layoffs, during which an unknown number of office employees (not involved in game development) were laid off in India and the United States.
