Crazy Taxi: World Tour will not include AI-generated content
Shortly after releasing the new trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour at Gamescom 2026, SEGA updated its statement regarding the use of generative artificial intelligence in the game’s design. This detail had sparked controversy following the latest presentations.
On Steam, the Japanese publisher has therefore clearly stated that no elements designed using AI will appear in the final version.
"At SEGA Corporation, we utilize generative AI as an optional support tool for developers, with the aim of enabling developers to focus more on creative tasks and deliver better experiences to our players.
In Crazy Taxi: World Tour, generative AI was used as part of the ideation process for background objects. However, no AI-generated content will be included in the final game."
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC next year.
