Bungie is going through a very difficult period. Destiny 2 has been shelved, and only Marathon remains to try to keep the teams afloat. The situation is so dire that the developer has made a surprising decision regarding its office space.

As a result, Bungie has subleased its 19,600 m² headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. These offices, which originally covered 7,800 m², were expanded in 2021 to support the development of Destiny and other projects. Following a series of layoffs and project cancellations over the years, Bungie no longer needs such an expensive space.

Documents indicate that the main lease will expire on September 30, 2035. It’s worth noting that the brochure promoting the space does not mention Bungie by name, but additional details and the address clearly point to the Sony-owned studio. The space is described as a turnkey office built around specialized production facilities.
