Sony presents the PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge headsets
Sony has revealed a new line of audio products designed for the PS5 (but not exclusively): the PlayStation Pulse and PlayStation Pulse Edge wireless headsets. The former will be released later this year, while the latter will be available in early 2027. Specific release dates and prices will be announced at a later time.
With these new models, the Japanese company aims to deliver superior audio quality thanks to custom planar magnetic drivers. These drivers produce studio-quality sound through sound separation and high spatial accuracy. Every in-game sound, even the faintest ones, will be enhanced.
The built-in microphones will be capable of producing deeper bass while delivering sound that is both rich and detailed. The Pulse’s microphone features AI-enhanced noise cancellation, and the Pulse Edge’s microphone is detachable. Only the Pulse Edge features active noise cancellation and a jack.
The PlayStation Link feature will deliver low latency and compatibility with PS5, PlayStation Portal, PC, and Mac. Nearly all Bluetooth devices will also be supported.
