Take-Two Interactive may announce the creation of a new development studio quite soon. The website MP1st has made a discovery pointing to it.

The publisher filed the Small Axe Studios trademark in the United States on July 30, and it’s classified under the categories "video game programs" and "entertainment services."

The name Small Axe had already appeared in job listings published online by 2K Games (which is owned by Take-Two) in April. It remains to be seen who is behind this new team. It could very well be Darrell Gallagher and Brian Horton, former members of The Initiative (Perfect Dark) who were recruited by 2K last year to create a brand-new studio.

We don’t know what Small Axe is working on as of now.
