Bethesda Softworks, the publisher behind well-known franchises such as Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, DOOM, Wolfenstein, and Quake, celebrated its 40th anniversary last month.

The company, founded by Christopher Weaver in 1986 and acquired by Microsoft in March 2021, has gone through a very turbulent few weeks recently following the restructuring within Xbox. Now focused on its flagship franchises, the American studio is sporting a new logo to honor its legacy.

"40 years of adventures. Here’s to the worlds we’ve built together… and those still to come. We’re marking the occasion with a logo inspired by our roots."

Bethesda Softworks is currently working on several projects, including The Elder Scrolls VI, Fallout 5, Fallout 3 Remastered, Fallout: New Vegas Remastered, and yet another Fallout title in partnership with Obsidian. What’s more, a new DOOM and a third Wolfenstein are also reportedly in the works.
