Valorant launches on Xbox Series and PS5 on September 23 in Australia and New Zealand
Valorant is a highly popular competitive game that came out on PC back in 2020 and on consoles in August 2024. This 5v5 tactical FPS reportedly attracts between 18 and 20 million active players each month. However, some regions have yet to receive the console version.
In a blog post, the American studio confirmed that Valorant will launch on September 23, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series in Australia and New Zealand. PlayStation and Xbox players will be able to play together, but it will not be possible to join a match with PC users. This is to "ensure a fair and consistent experience." However, the same account can be used on both PC and consoles to maintain progress in the Battle Pass, recruited agents, and purchased skins.
Finally, a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription will not be required to play.
