With all the particularly tense circumstances going on lately, PlayStation has finally decided not to attend Gamescom 2026.

This is nothing new for the Japanese company, as its last appearance at the German trade show was in 2019. Nowadays, the manufacturer prefers to host its own announcements during the State of Play events. However, one or two of these could take place during Opening Night Live, which will take place on August 25.

The Gamescom 2026 will be held in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 30.
