Christoph Hartmann, co-founder of 2K Games, has joined Ubisoft to oversee the Tom Clancy games
Ubisoft has hired a gaming industry veteran to lead its Creative House 2 division, which is the one responsible for the Tom Clancy series. That person is Christoph Hartmann, the co-founder and former president of 2K Games (2003–2017).
In the past, Hartmann also served as vice president of Take-Two Interactive (from 1999 to 2003) and vice president of Amazon Games (from 2018 to July 2026). At Ubisoft, he will oversee franchises such as Tom Clancy: The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot issued a statement.
"Christoph is exactly the kind of leader we needed for Creative House 2: a passionate gamer with a proven track record of bringing out the best in creative teams and building enduring franchises.
His experience in development and publishing, along with his management style, give him a rare understanding of what it takes to create exceptional games. I am confident that Christoph will take our teams and brands to new heights and strengthen their connections with the passionate players who love these franchises."
Christoph Hartmann also shared his thoughts.
"The talented teams at March of Giants, Massive, Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Paris, and Ubisoft Toronto have always excelled at creating worlds that players can lose themselves in.
With Creative House 2, we’re providing them with the structure, support, and vision needed to go further—to create intense, unforgettable experiences that remind players why they fell in love with video games in the first place. That’s what has always defined great games, and that’s what we strive to achieve."
