Since the release of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 in April 2021, Square Enix has remained very quiet about the series. No new game has been announced, and fans are starting to lose patience.

However, a brand-new installment may well be in the works. In his podcast dedicated to predictions for the Xbox Games Showcase, insider Nate The Hate made a small revelation that went unnoticed.

He claims to have heard rumors about a new NieR coming in 2025. He also notes that these weren’t major details and that he hasn’t received any further information this year. It remains to be seen whether the project is still in development or not.
