What will be Rockstar Games’ next game after the highly anticipated GTA VI? It’s hard to say, given how hard the company works to keep its biggest secrets under wraps. However, there’s a rumor about this has making the rounds since December 2023, and it was shared on Reddit this week.

According to the rumor, Rockstar Games is reportedly working on L.A. Noire 2. This second installment would be set in San Francisco, and the story would center on the Zodiac Killer. This unidentified serial killer is known to have murdered 37 people between December 1968 and October 1969. Rockstar is reportedly aiming for a 2030 release and wants to make it a stunning game featuring state-of-the-art facial scanning technology.

As a reminder, the original L.A. Noire is an open-world detective game released in May 2011. It was developed by the Australian studio Team Bondi, which subsequently closed its doors barely a year after the game’s launch.
