After several major rumors, Nintendo has finally decided to officially announce the date of its next Direct, or rather, its upcoming Directs!

A The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct will air on September 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. BST / 10:00 a.m. ET / 7:00 a.m. PT. It will last approximately 30 minutes. Then, a traditional 45-minute Nintendo Direct will air on September 9 at 3:00 p.m. BST / 10:00 a.m. ET / 7:00 a.m. PT.

During the first broadcast, we can assume that the Japanese company will give an in-depth look at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2. The remake is still expected to be released this year. In addition, a clip from the Zelda movie, scheduled for release on April 28, 2027, may be featured.

The lineup for the September 9 Nintendo Direct is still up in the air. A Nintendo Treehouse will take place after the second Direct, starting at 3:45 p.m. It will feature gameplay footage for a selection of games.
