Sometimes, it doesn’t pay to be too quick when reporting news. Just a few seconds (literally!) after this article was published, The Guardian confirmed that the September 24, 2026, date is incorrect. It appears to have been accidentally included in the preview by the editor.

The gaming press has released its initial reviews of The Duskbloods. While early feedback has been very positive, FromSoftware has so far remained silent on the exact release date.

However, The Guardian appears to have made a small mistake. In its preview of the Switch 2-exclusive PvPvE title, the site mentioned that The Duskbloods will be released on September 24, 2026.

It remains to be seen whether this is a mistake or a broken embargo. The Duskbloods would thus be released alongside several big titles such as Control Resonant and Silent Hill: Townfall.
