A video posted on the YouTube channel of a user named Lance McDonald shows a prototype version of Demon’s Souls (2009), which was slated for Gameshare IV in 2007. It features planning documents, video clips, and even concept art.

The clips reveal first-person gameplay, third-person control schemes reminiscent of Oblivion, and numerous other minor differences compared to the final product.

To provide some context, this was a time when Sony wanted to compete with Xbox and Oblivion, which at the time was an exclusive title for their console. The renowned studio FromSoftware was therefore tasked with the daunting challenge of creating the game.
