Tomb Raider: Catalyst has been delayed to 2028

Announced last December alongside the remake of the first game, Tomb Raider: Catalyst was originally scheduled to launch in 2027. However, since Legacy of Atlantis has been delayed to February 12, the all-new title will also see its release date pushed back by one year.

Jeff Gattis, CEO of Amazon Games, gave an interview to The Game Business this week. During the interview, he discussed the role of AAA games within the company. It was then that he announced that Tomb Raider: Catalyst had been delayed until 2028.

"Our catalog ranges from what we call ‘Game Night’ games, where your phone serves as a controller, to A-list titles that cost several million dollars to develop, all the way up to AAA games. We have obviously announced the two Tomb Raider titles. Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis comes 12 February, next year, and then we’ll follow on in 2028 with the next one. We’re excited about those."

It’s important to note that Crystal Dynamics has not yet commented on the matter. Tomb Raider: Catalyst is still listed for 2027 on the franchise’s website.
