Despite numerous requests from the community to add single-player content to Pokémon Champions, the director has indicated that this is not in the plans.

The game currently represents the franchise’s competitive scene, and it is certainly this aspect that they intend to continue developing. He states:

"For now, we probably won’t be adding additional modes similar to Pokémon Stadium. The reason is that if you start adding a lot of single-player modes, it kind of draws people away from PvP, and it actually increases matchmaking wait times, which makes it a bit more challenging for a PvP game. So, until more and more people are playing, I want to focus on PvP for now."

On a related note, a major update including Z-Mega Evolutions is coming this week. Among them are Z-Mega Lucario, Z-Mega Garchomp, and Z-Mega Absol. These highly anticipated new forms were revealed and included in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and are now making their debut in the franchise’s competitive scene.
