Wuchang: Fallen Feathers by the Chinese studio Leenzee got quite a great reception upon its release in July 2025.

In April of this year, it was reported that the team behind the game had been disbanded. Shortly thereafter, the Italian company Digital Bros (parent company of 505 Games) announced that it had acquired the rights to the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers franchise.

Today marks a new turning point for the franchise, as it has been announced that a sequel is currently in development by the Chinese studio Indolphinity, founded by Xia Siyuan, the original creator of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

"Through this partnership, 505 Games and Indolphinity reaffirm their shared belief in the long-term potential of the Wuchang franchise and their joint commitment to preserving the authenticity and cultural identity of the intellectual property."

Furthermore, it was announced that all future creative development "will continue to be based in China" thanks to close collaboration between the original creator, Xia Siyuan, and 505 Games, thereby ensuring continuity in vision, quality, and execution.
