With a Nintendo Direct scheduled on September 9 at 3 p.m. BSt, we have begun getting rumors about possible projects for the Switch 2 have just surfaced. These are being shared by insider Malo932 (via Centro LEAKS) on X.

In the past, this user has provided accurate information about Star Fox, Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, and the dates of several Nintendo Directs. Of course, what follows should be treated as rumors to be taken with a grain of salt.

Malo932 reports that a new Super Smash Bros. is in development for the Switch 2. It is said not to be a simple port of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He also adds that Nintendogs will make a comeback and that Mario Kart World DLC is scheduled for 2027.

Finally, a brand-new Star Fox Adventures could arrive on the Switch 2 as early as next year, along with a 3D Mario game, a 2D Metroid, and Wario World.
