Following the Steam Controller and the Steam Machine, Valve is set to release its next virtual reality headset. For now, the launch of the Steam Frame is still scheduled for this summer.

According to the developer of the game Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone, which is set to be released when the headset launches, the Steam Frame’s release date is "around the corner". The information was shared on the game’s Discord server.

"Me and 2080 Games have decided to launch together with Steam Frame. And we do feel confident that a launch date for Frame is just around the corner. But as long as valve has not announced any public information on it, so can’t I. So for now, the launchdate is: Alongside Steam Frame."

Valve may therefore make an announcement in the near future.
