This trend is driven by rising memory and storage costs. So don’t expect any miracles from the Steam Machine. According to insider Brad Lynch, Valve’s console is expected to be extremely expensive.

On X, the source in question claims to have heard rumors two months ago regarding the price of the Steam Machine. It is said to be higher than the new prices for the Steam Deck. Thus, the Steam Machine will cost more than €919 / $949. We can assume that it will surpass the €1,000 mark by far.

This information should obviously be taken with a grain of salt until Valve makes an official announcement.
