Despite the crisis surrounding the end of physical disc production, Sony reportedly intends to maintain its pace of announcements. To that end, the Japanese company appears to be planning to host a State of Play very soon.

According to insider NateTheHate, the next broadcast is expected to take place as early as September. In the past, insider Nash Weedle had already mentioned a likely State of Play for September 3, 2026.

This State of Play could be an opportunity to catch a glimpse of games like God of War Laufey, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and perhaps even Resident Evil Veronica.
