The next Ghost Recon is reportedly set in Asia
Currently known by the codename Project Ovr, the next Ghost Recon is making headlines again thanks to some reports from several insiders. This project, considered crucial by Ubisoft, is expected to be very ambitious.
First, we’ve learned that the game is expected to take us to Asia. It’s said to draw heavily from Ready or Not with its squad system. Additionally, the user interface will be more streamlined to enhance realism and stealth within the environments.
Furthermore, insider xj0nathan added that players will have a sort of base to manage, which will serve as a hub for selecting soldiers before heading out on missions. These soldiers will need to level up (through weekly quests, for example) to become more effective. Finally, a permanent death system similar to Hunt: Showdown was considered. However, it was reportedly removed due to the excessive frustration it caused among playtesters.
