The Marvel's Spider-Man actor would have preferred Deadpool over Wolverine for the next game
It seems Yuri Lowenthal, the lead actor who provides the voice and motion capture for Peter Parker in Sony’s Marvel’s Spider-Man video game franchise, would have preferred Deadpool over Wolverine for the next game.
During an interview with TheMovieDB, the actor was asked about the possibility of a Spider-Man and Wolverine crossover in an upcoming game. He replied that while that pairing seemed very interesting, there was someone else he’d like even more:
"There’s one character I’d choose even more strongly than Wolverine, and that would be Deadpool."
He went on to explain that he never fails to bring up this suggestion with Insomniac Games’ creative director, Brian Horton, every time he meets him.
It’s worth noting that Deadpool fans don’t have many games featuring their favorite hero to enjoy. If we set aside Marvel’s Deadpool VR, released exclusively on Meta Quest in 2025, the last title featuring the alien as the main character dates back to 2013 with Deadpool: The Game on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, and it’s no longer available for purchase.
