The Nintendo Direct dedicated to the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda gave us a new look at the highly anticipated remake of Ocarina of Time on Switch 2. This presentation, which featured plenty of gameplay footage, also revealed the game’s release date.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming out on November 5, 2026, for the Switch 2. It will be available for €59.99 via the eShop. A physical edition will also be available for purchase at retailers.

The remake will feature completely revamped visuals, a free-roaming camera, additional dialogue, and redesigned controls. The Kokiri Forest, the interior of the Deku Tree, and the Hyrule Field were showcased. Combat sequences were also featured. There will still be some loading times from one area to another. Players will even be able to hum a melody through the Switch 2’s microphone so that Link can play it back in the game.
