The Gamescom 2026 welcomed 368,000 visitors, and the 2027 edition will last one week
Gamescom 2026 has now come to a close. Despite controversies surrounding thefts at the booths, this year’s event attracted a large audience over the course of five days. The organizers have released the initial figures.
All in all, 368,000 visitors traveled to Cologne for this year’s Gamescom. This represents a 3% increase compared to last year. It makes this the third-most-attended edition, behind Gamescom 2019 (373,000 visitors) and Gamescom 2018 (370,000 visitors).
Meanwhile, Opening Night Live 2026 garnered over 78 million views, a 7.5% increase compared to ONL 2025.
As a reminder, Gamescom 2027 will take place from August 23 to 29. This is the first time the event will span an entire week. However, the public will be able to attend starting August 26. The first three days are therefore expected to be reserved exclusively for industry professionals.
