Announced in April 2021 by PlayStation, Abandoned was supposed to be a highly ambitious next-generation survival horror game. The cryptic marketing surrounding the project had sparked some completely wild theories online. Some even thought that Hideo Kojima was behind the game.

However, after the launch of the ridiculous PS5 app in August 2021, Abandoned disappeared from the radar and was never seen again… until now! The game has reappeared on the PlayStation Store with a release window set for 2027. The page even mentions three different versions.

Abandoned would be available as a real-time experience for its trailers, a standalone prologue chapter, and the full game. Of course, caution is still advised, given how BLUE BOX Game Studios has done things in the past.
