During Summer Game Fest in June, the studio That’s No Moon announced a new entry in the Crossfire franchise. This narrative-driven third-person shooter is set to be released soon on consoles and PC.

Despite this promising announcement, the company founded in 2021 by former developers from Naughty Dog and Infinity Ward haslaid off an unknown number of employees this month. Staff members have confirmed this through several posts on LinkedIn. The layoffs affected technical artists and environment designers.

The studio has not issued an official statement on the matter. For now, the future of Crossfire does not appear to be in jeopardy.
