Tencent now owns 24% of Game Science (Black Myth: Wukong)

Chinese tech giant Tencent has decided to increase its stake in a studio behind one of the biggest hits of recent years. And this company is also based in China.

As a result, Tencent now owns 24% (up from 5%) of Game Science, the developer behind the excellent Black Myth: Wukong. Hero Games, which was the studio’s initial backer, sold its 19% stake to Tencent. Feng Ji, the co-founder and CEO of Game Science, holds approximately 38.8% of the company.

Game Science is currently working on Black Myth: Zhong Kui.

Tencent has increased its stake in Game Science, the developer of Black Myth Wukong, from 5% to 24%.

Hero Games, the original backer of the studio, sold its 19% share in the company.
