Square Enix has canceled Final Fantasy XIV Mobile
Announced back in November 2024, Final Fantasy XIV Mobile was, for the time being, only playable in mainland China. Square Enix wanted to let players immerse themselves in the world of Eorzea with just a smartphone or a tablet.
Ultimately, the experiment was not successful, as the Japanese publisher has decided to shut down the servers on September 30, 2026, and cancel the global launch. Square Enix cites "adjustments to our business operations and market trends" as the reasons for this cancellation.
All account data, character information, and other related data will be deleted.
