Sophie Turner plans to play Tomb Raider's Lara Croft for a long time
Sophie Turner has reflected on her career in a recent interview with The Telegraph. The 30-year-old British actress spoke about her early days on Game of Thrones before discussing Tomb Raider, which is her main project at the moment.
While the first season of the TV series is set to premiere later this year, Amazon appears to have already greenlit a sequel. This is what the actress implies in her statement. Indeed, Turner indicated that she would remain fully focused on Tomb Raider "for a while to come". She also spoke about Lara, whom she describes as a globetrotter who can be "fairly toxic" side.
"But there is also an element of her that is so focused and determined, whereas I have ADHD [attention deficit hyperactivity disorder] and can’t complete a task without forgetting about it and doing something else. I am a total worrier and neurotic which she obviously isn’t, but we’re both obsessed with history."
Of course, a hypothetical Season 2 will also depend on the success of Season 1.
