Here is something sure to bring back some nostalgia. SEGA is re-releasing the original Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 games in an anniversary bundle priced at $100 USD. Pre-orders are already open on the iam8bit website

Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The two cartridges will be sold in a bundle called the 35th Anniversary Legacy Cartridge Collection and will be playable on NTSC SEGA Genesis consoles. The first game will come in a blue cartridge, while the second will come in an orange one.

For fans of the blue hedgehog, we’d also like to remind you that SEGA recently announced Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, as well as two new compilations for Nintendo Switch. The Classic Sonic Collection will include Sonic Origins, Sonic Mania, and Sonic Superstars, while the Modern Sonic Collection will feature Sonic Frontiers, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Sonic Forces. Both collections will be available in physical format in October for $49.99 USD.
