In addition to the paid expansion Cost of Hope, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will also welcome a big free update on August 20 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

This Patch 2.0 is the focus of a new presentation video. The update will bring several changes, including a new version of the game engine. This will significantly alter the appearance of the Zone with improved vegetation and lighting. Additionally, the AI will become more realistic.

In terms of content, players will gain access to three additional types of binoculars, as well as new weapons, in-game statistics, and a fully customizable difficulty setting. Fog will also be added to the weather system. Other improvements are on the way.
