Review of Splatoon Raiders: The single-player spin-off passes with flying colors

The Switch 2 is getting a new exclusive title this week! Splatoon Raiders is set to launch this Thursday, July 23, 2026. Of course, this single-player adventure has already been reviewed by the gaming press ahead of its release on the Nintendo console.

As of this writing, the Metacritic average stands at 80% based on 61 reviews. On OpenCritic, the score is currently 81% with 19 reviews. These results may change in the coming hours.

Those who have tried it praise the highly polished gameplay of the three available character archetypes. The game also offers good replay value, a fairly interesting story, and a well-integrated RPG element. It’s worth noting that the game also boasts impressive graphics.

However, there’s a certain repetitiveness as you progress through the levels, occasional technical issues, and the main story ends up being quite short.
