The Resident Evil franchise returns to theaters on September 16 in Europe (and September 18 in the U.S.). This new feature film directed by Zach Cregger has finally been unveiled in a trailer.

The film will follow the horror-filled journey of Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who must try to survive one of the most terrifying nights of his life. This new adaptation will not follow the games’ storyline but will present a completely original story. In fact, it’s hard to detect any inspiration at all from the video games in this trailer.
