Quantic Dream employees have gone on strike to protest working conditions they deem concerning and the studio’s management. The studio’s latest multiplayer game, Spellcasters Chronicles, was unfortunately a failure, and today, the entire team of 115 people is potentially on the sidelines, while Star Wars Eclipse finds itself in trouble.

According to employee representatives, organizational difficulties and a lack of labor-management dialogue are jeopardizing the development of the title, the company’s most ambitious project. The strikers specifically cite a heavy workload, employee departures, and controversial management decisions.

They believe that improving working conditions is essential to ensuring the game’s successful completion, hence the slogan "strike to save Star Wars Eclipse." For its part, management asserts that it is continuing to develop the game and downplays the impact of the labor action. Since its announcement in 2021, the project has already faced several difficulties and alleged delays, fueling concerns about its future.

We must also mention the Chinese giant NetEase, which owns Quantic Dream through its subsidiary NetEase Games (Marvel Rivals, Where Winds Meet, FragPunk…). So far, the company has remained silent and has not issued any statements.
