Bethesda Softworks, id Software, and Nightdive Studios officially announced Quake: Dawn of the Machine at the opening of QuakeCon 2026. This is an update for the remastered version of Quake released in 2021 on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.

The update, developed by MachineGames (Wolfenstein), adds a brand-new episode in which Ranger is trapped in a dimension of endless illusions. He’ll have to face hordes of enemies, including new variants, across 19 maps. Episodic loops add a dose of replayability. New achievements and additional cheat codes are also being introduced.
