At a time when many studios are closing or laying off staff, others are still managing to get off the ground. Such is the case with Pretty Cool Games, a new British studio founded by two former developers of the game Human: Fall Flat.

These two individuals are CEO Sitara Shefta, who has also worked on titles such as LittleBigPlanet 3 and Dead Island 2, and CCO Will Dudley, who has worked at other studios such as Sony Interactive Entertainment.

They are already working on game prototypes that have attracted investors, notably Coreblazer, which isthe gaming division of the Chinese company Hypergryph, and quickly recognized the team’s potential. CEO Shefta stated:

"We’re building a small but powerful team, allowing us to create truly imaginative games with creativity and agility."

For his part, CCO Dudley said:

"We want to create games that surprise players, make people laugh, and create fun and memorable moments—so that’s at the heart of our development processes."
