We now know that Sony has no intention of reversing its decision to discontinue production of physical discs in January 2028. The Japanese company is turning a deaf ear on social media, ignoring users’ reactions.

This strategy is also evident on Twitch. The PlayStation France account is taking it even further: viewers who use the chat to bring up this sensitive topic have had their messages deleted by moderators. Worse still, the channel reportedly doesn’t hesitate to ban users who ask the brand about the future of physical games.

On X, one user reported simply posting the messages « No Disc, No Buy » and « sign the petition » before being banned for 10 minutes.
