PlayerUnknown Productions announces layoffs and shuts down Prologue: Go Wayback
Available in Early Access since last November, Prologue: Go Wayback is already a thing of the past. The open-world roguelike survival game developed by PlayerUnknown Productions will not be moving forward.
In a message posted on Steam, we learn that development of the title will be halted. The studio will even undergo a restructuring by reducing the size of its team through layoffs.
PlayerUnknown Productions states that it intends to revisit Prologue: Go Wayback at a later date, but nothing is certain at this point. A final update will be released soon. It will add new items, paths, and other trails to enhance exploration. The game will also exit Early Access and be offered for free to all users.
Finally, the studio is considering the possibility of refunding players who purchased Prologue: Go Wayback.
