With over 5 million copies sold worldwide, it’s quite clear now that Crimson Desert is a massive commercial success. Thus, Pearl Abyss may release additional content for it in the near future.

In its financial report for the first quarter of 2026, the South Korean studio mentioned the possibility of creating a DLC for Crimson Desert. However, the main goal remains to improve "user satisfaction and driving new sales through continuous updates". Additionally, the game’s release on other platforms is being considered. Thus, a Switch 2 version hasn’t been ruled out yet.

Finally, the developers also note that they are currently exploring the possibility of expanding Crimson Desert through a DLC. For now, no concrete plans have been established.
