NBA 2K27 is off to a rough launch on Steam, and will have a 60 FPS Performance Mode on Switch 2
To no one’s surprise, the NBA series is back once again with its annual installment, NBA 2K27. While the game is scheduled for release on September 4, it has actually been available since August 26 for those who purchased the Ultimate Edition, priced at €149.99.
One question remained among the community, which was hoping to see this new installment run at 60 FPS on Switch 2, unlike the previous installment, NBA 2K26, which was capped at 30 FPS on the console.
The publisher confirmed in an interview that the new title NBA 2K27 will indeed feature a 60 FPS performance mode, both in docked and handheld modes.
However, there’s another piece of news to share. Reviews on Steam are currently "mostly negative", with an average of 38% positive reviews. In general, players are calling it a "pale imitation" of the previous installment, citing poor graphics, bugs, and new features that are far from convincing.
