More details about the Splinter Cell Remake have leaked
Amid a chaotic development process, the Splinter Cell remake still has no release date. Ubisoft Toronto, the studio leading the project, was even affected by layoffs earlier this year.
While we wait for more reassuring news, the dataminer Rogue, who specializes in Ubisoft games, has apparently uncovered some previously unknown details about the project. For example, the game is said to offer more non-lethal options and feature a linear structure.
Among the details mentioned are destructible environments, the ability to use zip lines, sticky cameras, tear gas grenades, and a manual alarm system. This Splinter Cell is also said to be built on the Snowdrop Engine and to use DirectX 12.
