Marvel's Spider-Man 3 has officially entered production
A page dedicated to Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 has appeared on IMDb, where the game is listed as being in production, rather than in pre-production. The listing names Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith as directors, both of whom were previously involved in the series’ earlier games. Yuri Lowenthal is also reportedly returning for the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
This information reinforces previous leaks suggesting that Insomniac is indeed working on a third main installment. A leak from 2023 had already mentioned Spider-Man 3 as well as a Venom spin-off, but neither project has been officially announced so far.
Actor Yuri Lowenthal himself hinted back in the spring that he would soon be going back to his role as Spider-Man. An insider also claimed that Marvel’s Venom is targeting a 2027 release, while Spider-Man 3 is scheduled for 2028–2029. The same insider claims that Silk could appear in the third installment alongside Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
However, we should remain cautious: IMDb is not an official confirmation from Insomniac, which has not yet announced anything regarding Spider-Man 3. For now, the studio is officially focusing its efforts on Marvel’s Wolverine, which is set for release on September 15 exclusively on PS5.
