The latest State of Play left us the announcement of quite the little gem. It’s Kemuri: Hunt the Unseen, a brand-new franchise created by Ikumi Nakamura. Nakamura rose to fame during her time at Tango Gameworks working on Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Kemuri: Hunt the Unseen is an action and yokai possession game set in a city near the afterlife called Kemuri City. We take on the role of a yokai hunter who uses a power to see what others cannot. We’ll need to make pacts with yokai and absorb their power, which in turn will influence our avatar’s appearance, movements, and combat style.

Kemuri: Hunt the Unseen will be released in 2027 on PS5 and PC.
