The excellent Helldivers 2 joins the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog today, allowing more players to discover Arrowhead’s co-op game. This addition coincides with the launch of the new major update, Devoid of Liberty, which centers on a mysterious threat originating from the Void.

Players must venture into this region controlled by the Illuminate to investigate the mutations affecting the planets. The update adds new missions, including destroying structures, gathering intelligence, and infiltrating enemy facilities. Rank 300 is now available, new side objectives have been added, and new mutant creatures are making their debut, including the fast and agile Wretch and the Crusher, which is particularly resilient and capable of regenerating its health.

Additionally, as mentioned last week, the game is also featuring a Warhammer 40,000 collaboration, with the Castellan’s Creed Warbond offering armor, weapons, and customization items inspired by the Games Workshop universe.

With the game’s arrival on PS Plus, the new update, and the Warhammer 40K collaboration, the timing is clearly designed to attract a new wave of players to Helldivers 2.
